Ultimate Convenience for Paying Port Security Charges


 The Hong Kong Shippers’ Council announced on July 24, 2006 that the Council had reached an agreement with Hong Kong International Terminals Limited, Modern Terminals Limited, COSCO-HIT Terminals (Hong Kong) Limited, Asia Container Terminals Limited and CSX World Terminals Hong Kong Limited to implement the Port Security Charge, with effect from August 15, 2006. The purpose of the charge is to enhance the port security facilities to meet international requirements.

The below Port Security Charge is applied to laden boxes entering or leaving its Hong Kong terminals by truck or barge.

1 The Hong Kong Shippers’ Council has passed on its HK$2 administration fee to “Ge-TS商貿易” customers as special prices.

Simplified Payment Process at Ge-TS

To simplify the payment collection process of the Port Security Charge, Hong Kong Shippers’ Council has designated Global e-Business Services Limited ('GO-Business') as one of the service providers to collect the payment through Ge-TS platform. All Ge-TS electronic trading services customers can pay the bill of Port Security Charge at Ge-TS website.

Ge-TS customers can :

  • use existing login name and password to access the platform of “Bill Payment - Port Security Charge Service”, without any software/hardware installation
  • complete the whole transaction within a minute by inputting container number, etc.
  • print out the acknowledgement receipt for future reference
  • trace back the past record of transactions by seach function
  • settle payment of the Port Security Charge directly via Ge-TS account
