Bill Payment - Port Security Charge
The Hong Kong Shippers' Council announced on July 24, 2006 that the Council had reached an agreement with Hongkong International Terminals Limited, Modern Terminals Limited, COSCO-HIT Terminals (Hong Kong) Limited, Asia Container Terminals Limited and CSX World Terminals Hong Kong Limited to implement the Port Security Charge, with effect from August 15, 2006. The purpose of the charge is to enhance the port security facilities to meet international requirements.
The Port Security Charge as listed below is applied to laden boxes entering or leaving its Hong Kong terminals by truck or barge.

Simplified Payment Process at "Ge-TS商貿易"
To simplify the payment collection process of the Port Security Charge, Hong Kong Shippers' Council has designated Global e-Business Services Limited as one of the service providers to collect the payment through "Ge-TS商貿易" platform. Starting from August 15, 2006, all "Ge-TS商貿易" electronic trading services customers can pay the bill of Port Security Charge at "Ge-TS商貿易" website..
"Ge-TS商貿易" customer can use the existing login name and password to access the platform of "Bill Payment - Port Security Charge Service". By inputting container number, etc., the whole transaction is completed within a minute. Customer can print out the acknowledgement receipt for future reference. What's more, searching function is also available for customer to trace back the past record of transactions. The Port Security Charge will be settled directly to customer's "Ge-TS商貿易" account.
