Import/Export Declaration Service

As a licensed services provider to provide electronic trading services to the trading community, Ge-TS provides services which enable traders to lodge all four types of Import/Export Declaration (TDEC) electronically.

• Import Declaration Form 1 for imports of non-food items
• Import Declaration Form 1A for imports of food items only
• Export/Re-export Declaration Form 2 for exports of Hong Kong made non-clothing and non-footwear items and re-exports
• Export Declaration Form 2A for exports of Hong Kong made clothing and footwear items only

Our TDEC service serves you in the following ways:

• Enable importers/exporters to prepare and submit TDEC to Government
• Validate the information on the TDEC before it is submitted to Government
• Amend a submitted TDEC as message
• Deliver Notice of current HS Code, Query and Acknowledgement messages to the importer/exporter concerned
• Enable importer/exporter to prepare response to Queries or to initiate an amendment of a TDEC already submitted to Government
• Notify the importer/exporter concerned for transmission failures or failure of validation of the message
• Unique feature of bar-code fax cover to facilitate fax-in submission of supporting documents from importers/exporters to Government

To cater for the various needs of the trading community, we provide customised solutions and a vast variety of services to meet your specific needs in streaming the business processes.

For traders who do not prefer submitting the documents electronically on their own, Ge-TS also provides a vast of variety of services to covert paper submissions into electronic messages for submission to Government. You can use our service counters or Drop-in Box located at a vast network of locations convenient to you to submit your TDEC

Different service packages are available for your own selection. In addition to TDEC direct submissions services, a full range of value-added services such as our e-sourcing, special edition of Ge-TS full feature end user software and Biz-schedule are available for your use.

Service Hours

The official Government Electronic Trading Services (GETS) operating hours are 7:00am - 11:00pm, 7 days a week. In order to provide more convenience to our customers, 24-hour round-the-clock electronic submission service is provided by the Ge-TS platform. Any submission outside GETS operating hours will be stored by our system for onward transmission to the Government until after the resumption of GETS operation at 7am. Please especially note that trade declaration messages sent to us between 11:00pm and midnight will be timed as received by the government on the following day.
