Our Company

To maintain Hong Kong 's position as a leading trade centre, i t is the policy of Government to promote the use of electronic means to conduct business in the trading community and encourage traders to transact their business electronically with their trading partners. In pursuing this objective and fostering market competition, Government has appointed Global e-Trading Services Limited (Ge-TS) as a new service provider for Government Electronic Trading Services (GETS).

Global e-Trading Services Limited, a subsidiary of the publicly listed Computer and Technologies Holdings Ltd (Hong Kong Stock Exchange, stock code:0046), is a provider of electronic trading services to the trading community. Ge-TS has been granted the Government Electronic Trading Services License (GETS license) in March 24, 2003 to provide electronic services to the trading community for submission of trade-related documents to Government. The appointment will be effective from January 2004

Under this licence, Government completely outsources the provision of front-end Government Electronic Trading Services to Ge-TS. In other words, Ge-TS processes trade-related documents on behalf of Government, provides customer and technical services, and collects payment for Government.

Ge-TS provides full range of electronic services to the trading community, including lodgement of Import and Export Declarations (TDEC), the application of Dutiable Commodities Permit (DCP), Electronic Submission of Cargo Manifests (EMAN) Service and bill payment for Port Security Charge. We deploy XML, the latest technology, as the electronic standard transmitted between our system and the Government Gateway. Value-added services have been developed to provide unparalleled value to our customers and to the benefit of trading community of Hong Kong as a whole. To best serve our customers, we also provide customised solutions according to specific business needs.
